As a dual USCG licensed crew, we've been a Carolina family-based business since 1983. Over the past few decades, we've proudly welcomed customers of all ages and experience levels.
As a native Carolinian, Captain Will has fished the offshore and inshore coast of North Carolina's Outer Banks for decades. He always welcomes the chance to talk shop with anglers as well as the surroundings with those aboard. Some of his best days have been shared with his crews as well as his son and wife. When your kids grow up around the water, it can be irreplaceable.
“Even after a successful fishing career spanning 40 years, I still feel the excitement of hearing the engine start up early in the mornings. There is still that pull of anticipation of what we might catch that day as we ease out of the slip. Taking people fishing is as exciting for me today as yesterday. It's always different. It's always a bit new.” - Will McPherson
Originally from New York, Captain Viv McPherson is an avid traveler who lived overseas briefly before returning home to answer the call of the ocean. A USGC licensed captain, she began working with her husband in 1983 operating fishing charters along the Outer Banks of the Carolinas. Captain Viv is one of the first female captains in the area and loves interacting with crews of all ages. She counts her anglers and nature lovers as three generations deep.
“My ‘natural office’ has a limitless horizon. Yes, that is my term, trademark! Nature paints that palette every day and she decides what challenges you may face and what shows you get to see! We have fished customers who have lived close and some who called Europe and South America home. Everyone is different by age, experience, nationality-what is not to love? I lived briefly overseas at one time, spoke two languages, and learned how huge and small it all is. I came home and left for the ocean when business was still sealed on a handshake and a word. I didn't hesitate as my feet left heels for boat shoes. If this is the first half, I can't wait to see the second half! I know how lucky I am.” - Viv McPherson
