One day small sharks, next day not. One day jig some mullets, next day change up. This is an early start but folks are here, they want to be on the water , out of the cottage and we accommodate when we can.
It is always an honor to have clients who fished you first in 1984, fished your son in his teenage years, and revisited you to come full circle. Privilege.
The summer temps of the last few days have kept visitors on the beach and on the boat. We are by no means seeing stable fishing conditions but we did get rewarded early on small pods of cobia making a show! There were several opportunities today to shoot your jig and hook up. Easy? EARLY! Normally we are looking for this a bit later. Just 24hrs before these fish were not on the radar in this capacity.
Release and some keep. Sad news? The change up comes tomorrow. Cold front and a solid twenty degree temperature drop ( that should be your weather heads up)wipes this slate and we start again! If we get the 25 NE we will be backside fishing on the bottom. Once the seas fall out again (really fall out), we will be back at it to see what was shook and what else has moved around.
We are looking forward to another busy summer. I want to thank those on the books and for those thinking about the rest of the summer and what is to come, enjoy!
